Maryland to Sell New Auto Tags for 1924
Maryland motorists will buy 1924 license tags at the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles office and the Washington office on December 3. Tags will have a black background with angle colored lettering and the automobile tax will be about 50 percent lower next year. The per horsepower rate drops from 69 to 32 cents, example a 22 horsepower car would pay $7.04 instead of $13.20. In Allentown Pennsylvania, George Millard aged 44, lighting clerk of Pennsylvania Power and Light, was fatally injured when he tried to crank a car in gear. He died within an hour after the crash in Schnecksville.
