Woman pays vet bill after ear piercing fawn
Bettie Phillips of Hiddenite North Carolina was ordered to cover veterinary costs after she and her daughter pierced a two month old fawn s ears while it stood by a highway in western Virginia The animal was found two days later in the back of a Ford Explorer and treated for dehydration and ear infections by Gentz chief veterinarian at the Wildlife Center of Virginia The animal cruelty charge against Phillips was suspended for reasons of no harm intended.
