Final Frederick County election tally tallies 11 ballots

Frederick County election officials on Friday completed the official canvass counting 11 ballots including one overseas absentee and 10 domestic absentees carried over from November 10. One overseas ballot was rejected for being sent by private courier. State law requires absentee ballots be posted by the day before the election. The three member board unanimously rejected the disputed overseas ballot. Certification will wait until December 7. The county will provide absentee details to Ellen Sauerbrey’s campaign for review amid corruption concerns.

County prepares for winter with 9300 tons of salt stockpiled
