Fire destroys minister's two story log home
The 95 year old Rev Garfield Holden's home on Water Street Road near Mt Pleasant was a total loss after an early morning blaze. About 25 firefighters from Walkersville and Libertytown battled the fire at 8 17 a m with a space heater suspected as the cause. The dining room was saved but extensive smoke heat and water damage left the rest of the house a complete loss. Holden escaped unharmed.
