Conowingo Dam to Transform Susquehanna Valley Power
A massive reinforced concrete dam at Conowingo Maryland will create a 12 mile long lake and power a vast hydroelectric project. It will house a 105 foot high 4,800 foot long structure with 60 foot water overflow, and a power station capable of about 594000 horsepower. The facility sits near rail lines and highways linking Washington Baltimore and Philadelphia and will push new electric energy across several states.
