Comptroller questions $142,000 unexpended balance for State Roads
The Maryland Comptroller asks Attorney General for ruling on whether the State Roads Commission is entitled to about $142,000 in unexpended receipts from the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles for 1919 1920 after maintenance allocations of 1 750 000 for 1919 and 1 760 000 for 1920. The Governor's budget note says maintenance funds come from residual fees after expenses and city Baltimore share, but the note was not in the appropriation bill, prompting the opinion request.
