FRENCH COUNT KILLS WIFE IN PARIS AFTER SEPARATION
Paris, Nov 19 The Count de Cournulier shot his wife the Countess de Cournulier at the stairway after she visited M Leroux. She died en route to a hospital. The count, 43, was arrested and imprisoned. He had long sought separation and lived in reduced circumstances while the countess enjoyed a lavish life amid Paris society. The husband’s request for separation contrasted with her affairs, and her adviser Mr Leroux confirmed there was no impropriety in her relations with her legal representative. Our Hawaiian Citizens Washington, Nov 20 The Hawaiian race shows slower decline, especially among women, per ex-President Sanford B Dole governor of Hawaii. Illness of the Czar Raise Russian Officials Silent Hope
In St Petersburg on November 19 officials said Emperor Nicholas’s condition shows signs of improvement. They distinguish typhus from typhoid and note the czar’s general health is good. Reports of lingering injuries from a sabre blow are dismissed and speculation about epilepsy is denied. They fault his diet and water habits rather than medical neglect.
