A new day care center by Day Care Baptist Church with Dr. Fred Heldrich and Mehrle Duvall among organizers aims to serve retarded children not fitting other programs. Edgar Emrich announced the board, and Mrs. Doris Remsberg noted Harmony Grove School children could benefit. A county survey found 10 to 15 preschool and older retardates who could benefit from such a program.

Middletown Man Sentenced in Motor Law Case
Wilbur S. Johnson, 40, was committed Monday to Washington County Jail for 75 days in lieu of 205 dollars and costs after charges of driving under the influence driving without an operator license and going the wrong way on a one way street. Magistrate James Strine imposed the sentence following Deputy Donald Alton’s report of a wrong way detour in Sutters Alley and an empty wine bottle found in the front seat. Johnson claimed his license had been suspended two years earlier.
