Brunswick considers $500000 sewer plan with expansion

Brunswick officials heard recommendations for a new sewer system to serve 10 000 people at over 500000 total. Engineer Jerome Wolff proposed a treatment plant costing 463000 with half funded by federal aid and the rest by a town bond. Extending mains to three areas could add 105000, raising debt to about 15 percent. The system would run 36000 annually, funded by user charges rather than a tax increase.
