Firefighters Seek Restitution in Suit Against County Exec
A Montgomery County volunteer firefighters’ suit seeks removal of County Executive Charles Gilchrist and five Ethics Commission members. They seek restitution totaling more than 10 000 dollars for an Ethics Commission probe and 550 000 dollars in damages, arguing funds were used for political ends. The case, filed with potential transfer to a Frederick judge, accuses a statewide witch hunt and public funds misuse to embarrass citizens. The suit cites Law Enforcement Officers' rights and requests an injunction against future actions.
