Mrs. Maggie Dougherty, 60, a long time invalid and cripple, was burned to death yesterday afternoon in her three story frame house in Rockdale near Media Pennsylvania. Neighbors saw smoke, found the door locked, and could not rescue her as the building was engulfed in flames.
Lincoln officials report night trains now run with armed guards after 26 sticks of dynamite and masks were found under a bridge near the city. Three men attempted to board a Lincoln eastbound express Sunday night, were driven off, and vanished after an Ashland incident. A watch on the bridge yielded no claimant to the cache.

In San Francisco an Italian family feud triggered two pistol duels wounding three men, one fatally likely. Philip Caldarella hurt with a head wound and shoulder.
