The Frederick Innkeepers Corporation trading as the Holiday Inn of Frederick received an on sale hotel and restaurant liquor license from County Liquor License Commissioner Louis V. Myers Jr after a hearing with no objections. The three story, 101 room facility will employ about 75 locally sourced workers and generate over $300 000 yearly payroll while offering Skyline Room Charcoal Room and Coffee Shop dining spaces plus Bible provided in each room and a large outdoor area.

Dogs Which Attacked Boy Are Killed
Franklin Stockman, county dog warden, said the two remaining dogs from the Mt. Pleasant area attack were euthanized. The trio’s two dogs tested negative for rabies after 14 days under observation. the third dog, shot by Stockman, also tested negative. The nine year old victim at Frederick Memorial Hospital was improving after major surgery to close 125 lacerations.

Census volunteers sought for city and county survey
Fr. Alfred E. Smith announced that Catholic census volunteers are still needed in Baltimore city and county. At least 120 more people are required to meet the target of about 340 workers for the door to door count from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday with teams of two. Each home visit lasts about 10 minutes and at least one family member should be home. All volunteers will carry an Archbishop signed ID and no sensitive questions will be asked.
