Preservation efforts keep Wright's Taliesin vision alive
Wisconsin backs an $8 million loan and a $24 million restoration plan to rebuild Taliesin near Spring Green. The effort by the Taliesin Preservation Commission and Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation aims to restore Wright's residence and four other buildings on the 600 acre site while expanding tours and year round use.

Taliesin as refuge and influence in Wright life
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel recalls Taliesin in Wisconsin as Wright's home and studio begun in 1911 for Mamah Borthwick Cheney. Neighbors denounced the couple as a menace to morals, seeking eviction and taxes. Biographers note Taliesin shaped his need to connect with nature and defy critics, while students remember his generosity.
