Iraq Sets Conditions for Attending Arab Summit
Iraq signaled readiness to join an emergency Arab summit only if the agenda includes the Arab-Israeli dispute and if Saddam Hussein can attend. The plan, proposed by King Hassan II of Morocco, aims to avert war in the Persian Gulf amid cracks in the anti Iraq alliance. Egypt’s Mubarak said Egyptian troops would not enter Iraq but could enter Kuwait as peacekeepers. Faithful Frederick leader Guy E. Kelly dies at 76
Guy E. Kelly 76 of 404 Brooklawn Apartments Frederick, a longtime businessman and civic leader, died Sunday at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
