Another War in 25 Years at Armistice Meeting
Major General Hanson Ely warned at a Armistice Day memorial in the City Opera House that permanent peace is elusive and predicts another major war in twenty five years. The program honored fallen service members from the county as Chief Judge Hammond Urner praised the Legion and urged readiness under the National Defense Act.

Mr and Mrs Bruce B Dotterer of Thurmont were badly hurt when their Ford roadster skidded on a wet road and overturned a mile below Thurmont. They were returning from Washington and were freed by passing motorists and taken home to recover.
