Great Men and the Rise of Mass Leadership
In the November 12, 1920 issue a writer argues that true greatness is not visible in living politicians. The mass of people increasingly directs movements and progress, while living statesmen fade in their flaws. The war’s heroism is exemplified by Foch, who unified allied forces, akin to Napoleon in scale. The piece foresees future leaders with clear thinking guiding society away from sophistry toward substantial development.
