Rock revered as Mary resting place unearthed near Jerusalem

Archaeologists in Jerusalem recover a limestone rock believed by early Christians to be where the Virgin Mary rested on the road from Jerusalem to Bethlehem. Found amid ruins of a fifth century octagonal church, the site was damaged during Har Homa housing project work, prompting excavations. Officials call it a discovery of historical, religious and ethnic significance.
