RFC Raises Interest on Business Loans to Five Percent
Washington November 94 The Reconstruction Finance Corporation raised its loan interest on business loans from four to five percent. New RFC chairman Elmer Harber and vice chairman Edward Rowe said the agency will cut administrative expenses to make RFC operate without subsidies. They stress the rise aims to put RFC on paying basis, not curb inflation, and expect borrowers not to be discouraged. The board seeks to prevent a projected $5.9 million annual budget deficit in RFC lending. Also noted is a separate description of fluorescent light color development with ten colors and a soft white peach-tinted option.
