Witness Testimony Links Fagan to Threats Against Wife

Frederick County Circuit Court heard from Robert Douglas Ivey Jr., a cousin of William Robert Fagan Sr., who testified that Fagan threatened to kill his estranged wife Deborah Patricia Fagan and to implicate her lover Anthony Fiorilla. Ivey said Fagan spoke of shooting Debbie, planting the gun on Tony, and hoped Fiorilla would be sexually abused in prison. He recalled an unregistered handgun and warned about being followed. Cross examination continues as prosecutors seek to establish motive and intent amid a recess for the day.

Chamber honors teachers for classroom excellence

The Frederick County Chamber of Commerce honored 40 teachers Monday for outstanding classroom work and named five Weather Excellence award winners for 1993. About 200 leaders attended the fifth annual event at the Francis Scott Key Holiday Inn. Winners included Patricia Condo Liberty Elementary, Julie Robinson Linganore High, Becky Groves Rock Creek School, and Lana Sixx Career and Technology Center. each finalist received 30 and a plaque from the chamber and local sponsors.

Four West Frederick Middle students suspended for weapon incident

Four students from West Frederick Middle School were suspended for five days after authorities found a small caliber handgun on campus. 70-year-old man charged in shooting incident

A Frederick County man was charged with attempted murder after a dispute over hot chocolate led to a shooting at about 2 am Monday. Warrants were issued for the suspect identified as Hatten and for use of a handgun in the crime. Police described a struggle during which a 22 caliber handgun was used and the victim was forced toward a car before the suspect fled.
