State Police Radar and Policy Discussed at Frontiers Meeting
Captain Charies W. Magaha of the State Police spoke at the Frontiers weekly cine meeting in Ashur Methodist church. He outlined radar use, speed law history, officer duties, and budget needs as he described progress from oversight to radar, noting 1,000 arrests since 1953 and 9 radars statewide. He urged driver training, fuelled by a request for 80 more officers starting July 1, 1958, and discussed future safety policies and potential point systems.
