Frederick County results from the official canvass show William Preston Lane Jr winning the governorship with a margin around 162 votes in Frederick County. The tally corrections lowered McKeldin’s unofficial lead earlier reported and adjusted local totals for several county offices and amendments. Also noted were write-in votes and two stone-truck drivers cited for dropping hazardous material in traffic court.
