Howard Ezra Toms died suddenly Monday at his Hagerstown home after a brief illness. A Myersville native, he worked for Potomac Edison Co for ten years. Survived by wife Ethel Pittenger Toms, daughter Mary Ann, parents, sisters and a brother. Funeral at 2 p.m. with Rev. Paul M. Robinson and Rev. Dr. F Berry Plummer. burial Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown.

Witnesses Called For Myers Case On Friday
Witnesses were being summoned today to testify in Circuit Court Friday in the equity suit filed by several sons and daughters of the late George Edward Myers seeking annulment of a 1941 deed in favor of another son Bee aena Myers and others. The defendants are Mr. and Mrs. Edward I. Myers and related parties. The case ties to an Orphans Court dispute in a will matter against Irving E. Staley as executor of Charles A. Staley. A final criminal case set for next Tuesday involves bigamy indictment against Leonard E. Ross with Alton Y. Bennett as attorney.
