Poolesville weighs historic preservation commission plan
Poolesville officials consider creating a historic preservation commission in partnership with the Maryland Historical Trust and possibly the federal EPA. Mayor Charles W. Elgin Sr. Mooday says a memo of understanding and a preservation ordinance would be needed, while residents press for state and local funding for sewer rehabilitation tied to historic preservation efforts.

Give and Ride Thanksgiving Bus Offer in Rockville
In Rockville a two can donation earns a free bus ride through November 26 to aid the needy. Now in its third year the program has collected over 40 000 cans previously. Bags will be placed behind Ride-On bus drivers to encourage contributions. Ken Brown of Manna Food Center notes tuna fruit and pasta are popular. Clarksburg Master Plan Advisory Committee Named
The 15 member Clarksburg Master Plan Advisory Committee, chaired by Jeane Onufry, will guide the future of the Clarksburg area in Montgomery County.
