Zonta Club Honors Silver Anniversary Dinner
The Frederick Zonta Club celebrated its silver anniversary with a dinner at the Francis Scott Key Hotel attended by about 50 women including guests from the Frederick BPW Club. Mrs. Roy L. Crum presided as Miss Hal Lee Ott served as toastmistress, with readings, songs, and a birthday cake cutting marking the milestone. Officers were listed, and the program covered Zonta’s aims in supporting ethical standards and advancement of women in business and professions. In a separate note, the New York post office reported 36,592,686 Christmas parcels sent to overseas soldiers since September 3, with more shipments expected.
