Plymouth Nova Scotia Nov 6 Rev Stewart Ross ex rector of Christchurch Belfast Ireland addressed Plymouth Young Men's Christian Society when Charles Joy the Canadian emigration commissioner burst in shouting You hypocrite you eloped with my wife. Ross fled and was pursued by a mob then stabbed two pursuers before being seized by others Police arrested Ross and he was remanded for a week without bail. It emerges Ross disappeared from Belfast two years ago leaving a wife and three children Mrs Joy a former Sunday school teacher disappeared then. Joy received a letter from Rose claiming her paramour affair and urging divorce. Mrs Joy was found at the prisoners lodging and attended court with brazen conduct.
