Hurt During Robbery Of Mount Airy Warehouse
A 30 year old resident of near Mt Airy Sterling Warner was critically injured during a warehouse robbery in Mt Airy. Warner and an accomplice, Fred Naill, allegedly entered through a second story window and removed two cases of canned salmon before Warner fell ten feet into the basement Injuring his skull. Warner’s companion fled and Warner is hospitalized in serious condition. Warrants charging breaking and entering and larceny were issued. Separately a Texaco station near New Market along Route 40 was robbed again with window broken but no money taken. tires and temps reported missing. Deputies and state police are investigating.

Hearing Held After Walkersville Mishap
At a hearing before Magistrate Manuel M Weinberg in Peoples Court this morning J Llord Wilhide of Williamsville was fined 35 dollars and costs for failing to keep to the right of the center of the highway in an accident in Walkersville Saturday about 7 45 o clock. Wilhide, driving toward Woodsboro in a truck on the main street through Walkersville, collided with a car coming from the opposite direction driven by Kenneth L Gilbert of Woodsboro. Gilbert sustained a slight head injury and no one else was hurt. Gilbert's car damaged to the extent of several hundred dollars. Wilhide's truck about 100 dollars. State Trooper C D McLane investigated and filed charges.
