He was struck by Norbert C. Snyder of Hendalls town who carried him to a hospital and faces December 3 in Traffic Court for failing to render aid to a pedestrian.
Harry B Shaw is appointed City Engineer to replace Emory C Crum who resigned. A 27 year old Frederick native and Johns Hopkins graduate, Shaw comes from the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission with seven years’ experience. He is expected to assume duties around January with other city arrangements in place. J Crum has taken offices on East Church street. Winter police uniforms contract awarded to D Michael Co with bids from Rosenour Soos and Kemp.
Several hundred residents are invited to Winchester Hall for the Citizens' committee meeting as Frederick County begins a $130,000 hospital expansion drive. Emory L. Coblentz leads arrangements and officers will be elected to direct the campaign from November 22 to 30 with district representation and planned kickoff dinner at the Francis Scott Key Motel.

James Alby Henderson aged 65 a member of the Rockville bar formerly police justice for Montgomery county and a one term Democratic member of the House of Delegates from Montgomery died Tuesday in Washington hospital after several months illness. He is survived by his widow a daughter his mother Mrs Clara Henderson of Rockville a brother George P Henderson three sisters Rose and Margaret Henderson of Rockville and Mrs Taliaferro Bridges of Hancock Md. He was a son of the late Judge James B Henderson and lifelong Rockville resident.
