Fall from window kills Frederick businesswoman
Dianne C. Murphy, 43, vice president at the Frederick County Builders Association and part owner of K-Team Window and Siding Co., fell from a third floor Elm Street home window at 1:30 a.m. Friday. She died at 5:24 a.m. after being flown to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Unit in Baltimore. Police report no witnesses and no suspected foul play. Commissioner Mark Hoke mourns her loss.

Wood dies at 82 in New Market former book dealer
Charles Worthington Wood 82 of New Market died November 1 at home. He owned C W Wood Books and was the first Frederick County public library bookmobile driver. He led the Historical Society of Frederick County and the New Market Lions Club. Survived by wife Mary Day Wood, son Nicholas Worthington Wood, daughter Mary Susan Wilson and four grandchildren.
