A Feugaville W. O. T. U. rally was held on Thursday December 30 in the Lutheran Church. The service featured Onward Christian Soldiers and a devotional led by Rev Hoke of the Reformed Church. The program included readings songs and solos and references to the 44th State Convention report. The next Union meeting is scheduled for Friday November 7 at 7:20 pm and will be in the Reformed Church room with closing hymns and benediction by Rev Hoke.

An 10 o'clock morning meeting on December 1 calls stockholders of the Woodsboro and Frederick Turnpike Company to act on a proposed sale of the road and stock to Frederick County. The seven mile toll road links Monocacy bridge at Coresville to Woodsboro, built 1852 53, with $15 000 capital. If the county accepts, tolls end. The road was recently restored at a cost of $5 300 and is in excellent condition. Also reported is the sale of George W. Young farm near Buckeystown to Charles B. Shipe, possession April 1, a move to make it his home. The tranquiI life real estate agent Wion JoT handled the sale.
