Feagaville celebrates centennial in quiet Maryland crossroads
Feagaville, a small unincorporated town six miles southwest of Frederick, marks 100 years amid farms, a church, a store, and a gas station. James Feaga runs the community store and district bus routes, while residents recall the town’s name evolution and a planned Oct. 5 Nashville act Jack Greene as part of century festivities.

Feaga family keeps Feagaville store as town grows
The 67 year old Feaga plans to run the store for life while his son James Custer Feaga prepares to take over. Nearby Jack Custer runs a 102 acre dairy farm with deep family roots in the area. St Luke's Lutheran Church, led by Reverend Edward Donnald, has grown from 27 to 149 members since its founding, with additions in 1892 1962 and 1976. Donnald notes growth brings both opportunity and strain as new residents come for cheaper living rather than the countryside.
