County Jersey Breeders Take Show Awards

Frederick County Jersey breeders swept the awards at the twelfth Western Maryland Jersey Field Day held near Boonsboro. 31 of 71 head shown came from county exhibitors, with judges and rivals from Washington County. Eugene Weller of Monrovia displayed the junior and grand champion all, Glenellen Farms of Ijamsville earned senior champion bull, Howard Stiles near New Market won junior champion female, and Glenellen Farms took multiple senior and grand titles. Ten Frederick exhibitors shared prizes as Glenellen Farms topped numerous divisions in the judging.
