Six Footed Bird Killed Near Mt Pleasant
J H Smith of Mt Pleasant reports killing a large six foot long bird weighing about 12 pounds in the woods near Mt Pleasant. The specimen had sharp talons and resembled a hawk, though locals think it may be a brown eagle due to rarity of brown eagles in the area.
