Camden Cork Men Acquitted In Life Preserver Plot
In Trenton on May 10 the United States district court acquitted four men from the Camden Non garell Cork Works of conspiracy to put iron in life preservers. Quintard was cleared by judge Lanning for lack of evidence. others were freed by a jury after about ninety minutes. The defense admitted placing iron in life preservers but argued no harm occurred and buoyancy tests were met.
