Graduation Programs Listed
Linganore High School holds its first graduation next Thursday with sixty four diplomas. Walkersville High plans a week of activities ending in the commencement service for seventy eight graduates next Wednesday. Singapore seniors begin with the Junior Senior Prom in a Japanese tea garden vibe and a 1 30 a m breakfast at the Francis Scott Key Hotel. The sermon will be given Sunday by Rev. Byron Flory Jr. and a Washington trip follows with a Capitol tour and visits to key federal sites. Two students Patricia Anne Bosic and Robert Eric Watkins receive distinguished scholarship awards at an awards assembly next Wednesday. The senior class president Robert Watkins will introduce the speaker Dr. Wilbur Devilbiss president of Salisbury State Teachers College will deliver the commencement address. Dr. James A. Sensenbaugh presents diplomas. Patricia Bosic introduces him. The Singapore Band will provide music with soloists and oboe/band performances. Clergy and church leaders deliver invocations and benedictions. The class plans trips to Glen Echo and a yearbook party mid June. Linganore had no prior graduation. students stayed at Frederick High School last year. Walkersville closes on May 2 with a full post year program. The pre graduation week included a banquet April 27 at Woodshore Fire Hall. Ronald Le Conte spoke and County Commissioner Lawrence Dorsey was honored. The senior trip to New York City on May 11 includes visits to United Nations, Long Island Sound, and multiple city tours. The graduation prom is the peak event Friday at the Muses and Classics theater, followed by the Saturday gala. The season ends with graduation on Sunday, June 2, with candidates and staff preparing for the ceremony.

Rev Sharpe Heads City Ministerium In Frederick
Rev Ralph M Sharpe pastor of Calvary Methodist church was elected new president of the Frederick City Ministerium at a family dinner in First Baptist Church. Memorial Day Observances Planned in Frederick County

Waive Jurisdiction On Two Juveniles
Juvenile jurisdiction was waived today for two 11 year old youths charged with breaking into the Potomac Wine and Liquor store near Brunswick and stealing candy and cigarettes. Chief Judge Patrick M. Schneuffer signed the waivers for Veron Terry Anderson and Elsworth Leon Kennan. County Probation Officer Mrs. W. Roderick said no plan was available for the youths. The pair were arrested May 14 by Trooper Soot VOB Enzush.

United Church Leaders and Teachers Meet for Institute
