Glade Valley horse show crowns champions at Walkersville
The fifth annual Glade Valley horse show at Walkersville drew 103 horses and ponies with Maj. E. McClain as judge and Albin Duvall as ringmaster. Announcers were Frank Barnes and Preston Howard. ribbon girls Shirley Barnes and Doris Jean Zimmerman. Numerous classes awarded ribbons and trophies to riders from Frederick, Hagerstown, Williamsport, Keedysville, and surrounding towns, with winners in lead rein, open pony, county pleasure, warm up jumping, three gaited saddle horses, western, four-painted jumping, pony teams, western trail stake, fine harness, musical chairs, open 3-gaited, cloverleaf barrel, pleasure horse, and open Tennessee walking stake events.
