Lutheran S S Convention Held at Taneytown Church
The 31st annual convention of the Lutheran Sunday School Association of the Western Conference of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Maryland was held May 19 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church in Taneytown. 246 members registered. theme Teachers-Teaching is a Teaching Church. Rev. Howard J. McCarney led devotions. Rev. J. Calvin Mereiana presided afternoon. Guests included Henry Reindollar Jr. and G. Carlton Rhogerick. Treasurer reported $401.63 balance. ladies served roast chicken dinner for about 250 attendees.
