Rich Relatives and the Childs Home Loyalty
A 1937 NEA column discusses a boy named Jimmy who prefers to visit Aunt Peg and Uncle Dick over his own home. Parents debate gifts and pride, considering how to balance generosity with equal treatment, and how to preserve parental pride without stifling affection. The piece cautions avoiding jealousy while supporting kindness from extended family.
