Co. D. H. Summers of near Middletown was arrested yesterday afternoon by State Police Officer Bowman for operating a motor vehicle under liquor influence. He faced charges of reckless driving and operating without a license after colliding with a trolley car on East Patrick Street, then fled toward Harmony Grove before being captured. He was jailed to recover, then released on 250 dollars bail for Tuesday’s hearing.

New York May 26 rails especially the cheaper grades were taken up more actively in the stock market this morning. Mexican Petroleum continued to feature the 3, increasing its rise to three points. Crucible was the strongest of the steels though that group and related equipment were less prominent than usual. Specialties led by Coca Cola up three and nine half points to a new high, while tobaccos added to yesterday’s gains. Call money opened and renewed into next week at three and one half percent. The closing was strong with about 1 200 000 shares sold.
