Sister-killer Alfred James keeps life term on appeal
A three judge panel in the Sixth Judicial Circuit affirmed the life sentence for Alfred Leroy James, 43, convicted of first degree murder in the 1984 killing of his sister Ethel Mae James, 39, who was reading a newspaper when he shot her. The panel rejected his bid to reduce the sentence to 20, 25, or four years. He is at Patuxent Institute.
