End of an Era as St Louis Closes Last Trolley Line
In St Louis the last streetcar line ends after more than a century. Veteran operator Oliver Deuchert rides with Mayor Cervantes on the final run to Gaslight Square marking the closure. Transit savings are estimated at $10,000 a month while buses replace trolleys and a monorail may follow.
