Martz and Garst Lead Frederick County 4-H Dairy Judging
Rodney Martz of New Midway won the senior division with 424 of 450 points in Frederick County 4-H dairy judging. Michael Garst, also of New Midway, captured the junior division with 335 of 350. The New Midway club dominated, taking top honors in both senior and junior events and earning invitations to summer judging practices and potential state competition.

John Schneider of Gaithersburg is among Montgomery County youths named champion demonstrators at the County Demonstration Day at the Agricultural Center Gaithersburg. Winners will compete in Frederick County on July 9 representing Home Furnishings to Poultry Foods and other categories with participants from Woodfield Silver Spring Rockville and Derwood.

County Issues Permits For Seven Homes
The County Assessment office released permits for seven new homes and four other improvements totaling 121 500. Rosemont authorized an 18000 dollar home on old Md 17 for Wayne and Jacqueline Hill with full basement and private sewage. A 16500 dollar brick veneer home goes to Nelson in Silver Spring and Anne and Carol Ligon in Olney.
