Holderied makes history as Navy graduate at Annapolis
Kristine Holderied, 21, from Woodbine Massachusetts, becomes the first woman to graduate at the top of her class at the Naval Academy. She walks the stage at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium as James Watkins, chief of Naval Operations, honors the top graduates. Watkins cautions on preemptive strikes in global terrorism while Holderied waves her diploma amid applause from peers and family.
