A Carroll County couple remains in critical condition at University Hospital after gunshot wounds reported as an attempted murder and possible suicide. Child Drowns At YMCA Swimming Class
Pamela Lee Carey six year old of Hagerstown drowned during her first visit to a YMCA swimming class. About 15 minutes after the class started she was reported missing by friend Reba Steiner. Instructor Alice Marie Weller found her face down in five feet of water. Artificial respiration failed and she was pronounced dead at Washington County Hospital.
