Worthington Enjoys First Airplane Ride With Gates Circus
Former Judge Glenn H. Worthington and his wife rode in a Gates Flying Circus plane from Oris King's farm on Ballenger Creek road. He described nerves at takeoff, a 200 foot plunge, and a smooth return, praising aviation safety and noting Frederick sights from aloft. He said flying offers a pleasant sensation and would consider another flight.
