Three Years For Forgery Sentenced In Maryland
Fred W. Croxton of Norfolk Virginia received a three year term in the Maryland Penitentiary after being found guilty of forgery for cashing a $65 certified check at the Francis Scott Key Hotel. The check later proved worthless. Croxton was arrested in Hagerstown and brought back for trial. A $100 fine was imposed on G L Fry of Point of Rocks for selling liquor. Tim Brown was found not guilty after a prior trial, while Tom Brown and others were moved to the House of Correction for terms varying from 12 to 18 months for larceny and related offenses.

Woman given 30 days sentence in jail here
At a Federal Court hearing in Baltimore Judge Morris A. Soper found Mrs Elizabeth Stockman guilty of sale and possession of intoxicating liquor and sentenced her to 30 days in jail.
