The city unveils three residential zones for new collection days while downtown Frederick remains unchanged. Areas east of US 15 north of Past Botank receive Monday and Thursday pickups. west of US 15 north of West Patrick Street get Tuesday and Friday. west of Jefferson Street south of Patrick Street have Wednesday and Saturday pickups. Residents should place trash curbside after 5 p.m. the night before. Memorial Day remains no-pickup. Public Works, led by Bob Wilkinson, calls the change to balance workload and reduce overtime, with weekend off alternating every two weeks. Maps and details at the city site.
