Memorial Day honors Vietnam MIAs at Key Post ceremony
Francis Scott Key Post 11 will honor Vietnam War MIAs during Memorial Day services at 2 p.m. Monday May 27 at the Francis Scott Key Monument in Mount Olivet Cemetery Frederick. Lt Col Robert W Marsh will lead as key speaker with other participants including Michael Crutchley and Betty Marie Carroll.

Frederick County students to study summer math workbook
About 2,100 eighth graders in Frederick County will receive a locally developed 15 minute daily summer workbook to boost performance on the Maryland Functional Mathematics Test due in October. Project Basic facilitator Edward J. Kerns Jr. says the program aims to raise the first attempt pass rate above the statewide 60 percent.
