BALTIMORE The Pride of Baltimore sank in the Caribbean last week. Captain Armin E. Elsaesser Ili. 42, of South Dartmouth Massachusetts, dived to release life rafts for eight crew members, while four crewmembers remained missing. Coast Guard Air Force and Navy continue search as two bodies were found and presumed dead after a fatal squall. Rep Barbara Mikulski and Mayor William Donald Schaefer voiced sorrow and pledged thorough search efforts.

Gas explosion injures Walkersville man at Stennett site
Clyde E. Stennett, 48, of 24 Maple Ave, sustained second degree burns to his upper body and a fractured wrist after a gas tanker exploded near Gene Ramsburg Enterprises on Water Street. The blast prompted evacuation of more than 100 Frederick residents as authorities shut streets and rushed him to Frederick Memorial Hospital and then the Francis Scott Key Burn Unit in Baltimore.
