Milwaukee Nun Dies By Own Action On Buffalo Street Bridge
A 74 year old woman identified as Matilda Ayerbeck from a nun’s convent died after leaping from the Buffalo street bridge in Milwaukee. Mrs. John Winter helped the girl, who had run away from the convent a week earlier, and she had asked her father for $50. The body was recovered and identified in the morgue. Coroner to conduct a strict investigation amid Catholic community reaction.
