Landfill security system approved after break ins
Frederick County Commissioners vote to install a portable security system at Reich's Ford Road Landfill three buildings at a cost of 3500. Ten sheriff deputies monitor the site, with about 6000 in fees already paid for deputy coverage since break ins on March 6 and March 31. About 30000 worth of portable radio equipment was stolen. A public hearing on a Braddock Heights lighting district is set for June 20, funded by a district tax levy and Potomac Edison Co lights.
